Nowadays, computer is very vital for business transactions, communications, projects, paper works, emailing, chatting, video conferencing and many more. With the use of computer, the work is more effective and fast as compared to manual operation. If you open your computer for the first time, then you will confuse about the different parts of it. Sometimes we hire technician if we want to install something in our computer. But once we already know the different parts of computer and their functions, then we can now upgrade our computer to make it faster and effective. Today’s computers have eight main components; some other advance computers have few more components. This article will discussed what are the eight main components of the computer?
The first component is the Power supply. The power supply is used to electrify all the computer’s components. The most power supplies today are having wattage which come initial 50 wattages and it is increases to 500,550 and 600 watts. Secondly is the Motherboard. All computer components are connected to motherboard. The motherboard is important in computer operation. The third one is the CPU (Central Processing unit). It is the heart and brain of the computer. CPU’s now are measured in Ghz (Gigahertz) and they are presenting up to 3.8Ghz or faster. The fourth is the RAM (Random Access Memory). The better RAM in the computer, the better that computer will work. The next is the Hard drive. The hard drive must have an operating system like Windows XP or Vista. Its capacity initiates from 20GB to 500GB and more. The sixth component is the cooling fan. It is important in eliminating the heat produce by computer parts. The seventh and last components consist are external hard drive. Latest computer processor with great computer specifications are: Dual-Core processor, Quad-core processor and Core(TM) Duo processor.
